Booster for bioactive enclosures and captive keeping of isopods, springtails etc
Chitin is the material invertebrate exoskeletons are made of.
Detritivors love to break these down for additional nutrients and fibre.
This has the added bonus of shrimp meal flakes over just pure shell grit, they love it fishy.

Use small amounts of any additives to start with, base portions and feeding schedule on colony size. Avoid creating mounds of food as this can inhibit mould.
This is not suitable for blending into substrate, best lightly scattered on top of your base layer.
